Woodtech is a machinery fair in the literal sense: the organiser announced more than 3,000 machines on show for its 2026 edition. A panel saw, an edge-bander or a CNC machining centre is the exhibit, and the stand exists to let a buyer walk round it, watch it work and then sit down to talk. Intermob, its sister fair for furniture components and materials, is the opposite problem — thousands of small samples that have to be seen and touched.
Both fairs are held at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, Büyükçekmece. This page is written for exhibitors looking for a Woodtech or Intermob stand builder: the 2027 dates and what is still unconfirmed, machinery on a Tüyap floor, showing materials, and prices.

2027: one fair or two?
Until 2022 the two fairs ran together; since 2023 they have been held on separate dates. For 2027, Türkiye’s official fair calendar lists a combined Woodtech – Intermob, 9–13 October 2027 at Tüyap. Neither fair’s own website had published 2027 dates at the time of writing, so treat that as the approved slot rather than a confirmed programme, and check with the organiser before you book freight. For a stand builder it changes little: the halls, the rules and the lead time are the same either way.
Machinery on a Tüyap floor
Tüyap rates the floors of halls 1–10 at 5 t/m² and of halls 11, 12, 11A and 12A at 3 t/m². What counts is the weight divided by the area the machine actually stands on: a 6-tonne machining centre standing on 1.5 m² of feet puts 4 t/m² into the floor, which is fine in hall 5 and over the limit in hall 11. Send us the weight and the footprint of each machine and we check it against your hall before the layout is drawn.
- Machines first, walls second. Machines are set in place by the handling contractor — Tüyap’s official provider is Gruptrans — before the stand is closed around them. A finished wall in the way costs a day.
- Compressed air from the venue. Tüyap has a 10-bar pneumatic system, so compressed air can be ordered as a connection rather than produced by a noisy compressor on the stand.
- Power is planned in kilowatts. A stand whose connected load reaches 10 kW cannot have its supply split across several lines; a row of running machines gets there quickly. Every machine’s kW goes into the electrical project before the stand is built.
- Dust and noise. A machine cutting real board makes chips and noise. Build in extraction or a collection bin, keep a guarded working zone, and keep the meeting area at the back of the stand, away from the cutting line.
- A place to sit. The decision to buy a machine is made at a table with a price list and a finance quote, not beside the machine.
Showing materials and fittings at Intermob
Intermob buyers are furniture manufacturers choosing what goes into next season’s products: a hinge, a drawer runner, a laminate, a foam. They want to open the drawer, feel the soft-close, see the decor under real light and take a sample home. A good Intermob stand is a working library — drawer and hinge demonstrators at hand height, decor panels lit evenly in large formats, and a sample counter with someone behind it — rather than a wall of framed swatches.
Approval at Tüyap
The exhibitor handbook for both fairs is issued through Tüyap’s MyTüyap exhibitor portal after the contract is signed, and the stand project is uploaded there for approval. An architect signs a single-storey stand up to 4 m; a SİM-certified civil engineer signs anything taller and every two-storey stand. A second storey needs a stand larger than 24 m², may cover no more than half of it and must be built in steel. Nothing is drilled into floors or walls.
Machines and customs
Machines that go home after the fair can travel under an ATA carnet. Machines sold on the stand cannot: a sale converts the temporary admission into an import, with duties and taxes to settle. If you expect to sell the demonstration machine, tell your forwarder before it ships, not after the buyer signs.
Prices
| Included in our price | Paid to the organiser or venue |
|---|---|
| Design and 3D visuals, revised until approved | Floor space rental |
| Load check, electrical project and submission | Electricity and compressed-air connections |
| Guarding, extraction housings and sample displays | Machine handling by the official contractor |
| Manufacturing in our own workshop and pre-assembly | Compulsory service and catalogue fees |
| Transport, installation and dismantling | Static control fee, where one is charged |
| A technician on call during the fair |
Our band for a custom stand is 400 – 750 EUR per m², quoted as a fixed price in EUR against an approved design. Machinery stands are mostly open floor around the machines, so they usually land in the lower part of the band. Island stands add 10–20%; double-decker structures add 40–60%, including the steel structure, the engineer’s approval and the longer installation.
Send your hall and stand number, size, number of open sides and a list of machines with weight, footprint and kW, and you get a 3D design and a fixed quotation.

Frequently asked questions
When are Woodtech and Intermob 2027?
The official fair calendar lists them together on 9–13 October 2027 at Tüyap. The organiser had not yet published 2027 dates at the time of writing, so confirm before booking freight.
Can I run my machines during the fair?
Yes, with a guarded working zone, extraction or chip collection, and every machine’s power declared in the electrical project. Compressed air comes from the venue’s 10-bar system.
Is my machine too heavy for the hall?
Divide its weight by the area of its feet. Halls 1–10 take 5 t/m², halls 11, 12, 11A and 12A take 3 t/m². Over the limit, the machine stands on a load-spreading plate, or you ask the organiser for a different hall.
Can I sell the demonstration machine at the fair?
Yes, but it then becomes an import and cannot stay on the ATA carnet. Agree the paperwork with your forwarder before shipping.
Creostand is an exhibition stand builder in Istanbul: we design, manufacture in our own workshop in Esenyurt — about 25 minutes from Tüyap — and install on site. For other fairs and dates, see our Istanbul exhibition calendar.
