Medical buyers put their hands on things. They raise and lower the bed, swing the surgical light, open the autoclave, sit in the dialysis chair. That single behaviour decides the layout of an Expomed stand: every piece of equipment you bring needs clear space around it for someone to operate, and a product wall with everything pushed to the back will be walked past.
Expomed Eurasia 2027 runs 15–18 April 2027 at Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre, Büyükçekmece — the 34th edition, and the first to run over four days rather than three. This page is written for exhibitors looking for an Expomed Eurasia stand builder: operable equipment, medical gas and water on the stand, the Tüyap approval route, customs, and prices.

Roughly a fifth of visitors come from abroad, concentrated in the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and the Balkans. Two consequences for the stand: signage and specification sheets need English at minimum, and your meeting area has to hold a conversation about distribution rights, not just a product demonstration.
Note also that Expovet, the veterinary section, runs inside Expomed Eurasia on the same dates at the same venue. If you sell into both human and veterinary channels, that is one stand and one freight movement rather than two.
Equipment people operate needs space, not shelving
| What you bring | What it needs on the stand |
|---|---|
| Hospital and patient beds, dialysis and blood-collection chairs | Full travel clearance in every direction, plus standing room for the person operating it |
| Operating tables and surgical lights | Headroom for the light arm at full extension, and a mains circuit separate from stand lighting |
| Imaging and X-ray units | Floor-load check, a stable base, and a clear position on whether it is energised or display-only |
| Autoclaves, washer-disinfectors, dental units | Water supply and drainage, ordered before the layout is frozen |
| Medical gas systems, oxygen cylinders | Secured upright mounting and the organiser’s written agreement in advance |
| Clean-room panels and modular wall systems | Height and a walkable interior — this is a product you have to go inside to judge |
| Ambulances and patient-transport equipment | An access route and a door that fits; agree the position with the organiser early |
Tüyap publishes its floor-load limits: 5 tonnes/m² in Halls 1–10 and 3 tonnes/m² in Halls 11, 12, 11A and 12A. Most medical equipment sits well inside that, but an imaging unit on a small base can exceed the limit locally, so send the weight and the bearing area rather than the weight alone.
On energised imaging equipment: if you intend to power up an X-ray unit on the stand, that is a question for the organiser in writing before you design around it, not a decision to take on the setup day. The exhibitor manual is the document that answers it. We will ask on your behalf if you prefer.
Why finish quality carries more weight at this fair
A buyer deciding whether your sterilisation or surgical product is well made has very little to go on in three minutes at a stand. They read the proxies: whether the joints are tight, whether the white surfaces are actually white, whether the edges are clean, whether the floor is scuffed. A stand with a visible seam next to a sterile-barrier claim undermines the claim.
Practically, that means lacquered and seamless surfaces rather than printed board, concealed cable management, under-counter storage so nothing sits on the floor, and lighting with high colour rendering so white reads as white rather than grey or yellow. These are manufacturing decisions, which is why we make our stands in our own workshop in Esenyurt and pre-assemble them before they ship.
What Tüyap requires
Your participant handbook arrives with the space contract — the organiser emails portal credentials once you sign, and the full document lives there rather than on the public site. Four things in it decide a medical stand, and they are worth knowing before you brief a designer.
Your height limit is personal to your stand. There is no site-wide ceiling figure at this venue. The permitted decoration height, and any restricted zone above you, is printed on the first page of the stand plan issued with your allocation. Send us that plan and we design to the number on it. Independently of that, anything from 4 m upward must be signed off by a SİM-certified civil engineer rather than an architect — in practice, on a medical stand, that threshold is usually crossed by a lit fascia or a brand tower, not by the product.
A mezzanine is possible, but only above 24 m². Smaller stands are modular-system only. Where a second floor is allowed it may cover no more than half your floor area, must stand on steel or iron rather than a modular frame, and must be reached by straight stairs. A separate static report goes in alongside the engineer’s approval. Companies use this to put private distributor meetings upstairs and leave the whole ground floor to equipment — which, at a fair where buyers want to operate what they see, is usually the right trade.
The hall is not a workshop. Painting, plastering, welding and cutting raw timber or steel are all prohibited inside the building, and nothing may be drilled or screwed into the floors or walls. Combined with the requirement for one extinguisher per 50 m² and flame-retardant certification on every textile, the practical meaning is simple: the stand must arrive finished. Ours is built once in our Esenyurt workshop, checked, then dismantled and shipped — because on this site a part that does not fit cannot be trimmed.
Submission has two steps, and the second one catches people. The project is uploaded to the exhibitor and decorator portal, and then signed, stamped hard copies must be physically handed to the Tüyap technical office before installation may begin. An upload on its own is not approval. We do both.
One more constraint that shapes the floor plan rather than the structure: at least 40% of every aisle-facing side has to stay open, so visitors can see through your stand. A medical layout built around enclosed consultation space has to earn that enclosure elsewhere — usually by pushing it to the rear or upstairs rather than walling the frontage.
Water supply, drainage and compressed air are ordered services, with positions and usage declared in advance; the stand tap runs at roughly 7–8 bar. Confirm your own figures against the handbook rather than designing on an assumption, and order before the layout is frozen.
Bringing medical equipment into Turkey
Devices you will take home again normally travel under an ATA carnet as temporary admission. Single-use items, consumables, reagents, samples you hand out and anything that stays in Turkey are not covered and need a full export declaration. Medical devices and in-vitro diagnostics can additionally carry category-specific import documentation requirements — confirm yours with your freight forwarder in writing well before shipping. Equipment held at the border during a four-day fair cannot be recovered.
In-hall handling, lifting and empty-case storage are ordered from the fair’s contracted provider, priced by weight and dimensions, and booked at the start of the setup period.
Prices
| Included in our price | Paid to the organiser |
|---|---|
| Design and 3D visuals, revised until approved | Floor space rental |
| Technical file, engineer approval and submission | Electricity, water, drainage and compressed-air connections |
| Manufacturing in our own workshop | In-hall handling, lifting and empty-case storage |
| Pre-assembly before shipping | Compulsory service and catalogue fees |
| Transport, installation and dismantling | Static control fee, where one is charged |

Our band for a custom stand is 400 – 750 EUR per m², quoted as a fixed price in EUR against an approved design, so the figure you receive is the figure you pay. Island stands add 10–20%; double-decker structures add 40–60%, including the steel structure, the static report and the longer installation. If the organiser requires a change after approval, we tell you what it costs before we make it.
Send your hall and stand number, size, number of open sides and a list of the equipment you are bringing with weights and whether each item will be operated, and you get a 3D design and a fixed quotation.

Frequently asked questions
When is Expomed Eurasia 2027?
15–18 April 2027 at Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre, Büyükçekmece, Istanbul. It is the 34th edition and runs four days, where recent editions ran three. The 2026 edition hosted 527 exhibitors from 25 countries and 19,308 visitors, 4,208 of them international.
Can I bring hospital beds and operating tables to demonstrate?
Yes, and you should — buyers at this fair operate what they are shown. Tell us each item’s full range of travel so we leave clearance around it and standing room for the person demonstrating. A bed that cannot be raised because a counter is in the way is a wasted exhibit.
Can I have water and drainage for an autoclave or a dental unit?
Yes. Water supply, drainage and compressed air are ordered services at Tüyap, with positions and usage declared in advance. Order before the layout is frozen — the drain position determines where the equipment can stand and therefore the whole plan.
Can I power up an X-ray or imaging unit on my stand?
That is set by the exhibitor manual for your edition, not by general practice, and it must be agreed with the organiser in writing before you design around it. We will put the question to them with your equipment details if you want it settled early.
Does Expovet need a separate stand?
No. Expovet is a section within Expomed Eurasia, on the same dates at the same venue. If you sell into human and veterinary channels you can cover both from one stand and one freight movement.
Creostand is an exhibition stand builder in Istanbul: we design, manufacture in our own workshop in Esenyurt — about 25 minutes from Tüyap — and install on site. For other fairs and dates, see our Istanbul exhibition calendar.
