At the March 2026 edition of Texhibition, 336 of roughly 500 stands were showing woven or knitted fabric. Your buyer walks past several hundred of them in three days. What separates the stands they stop at is not size — it is whether the fabric can be reached, handled and seen under light that tells the truth about its colour.
Texhibition İstanbul’s 11th edition runs 3–5 March 2027 at Istanbul Expo Center (İFM), Yeşilköy. This page is written for exhibitors looking for a Texhibition Istanbul stand builder: fabric presentation, lighting, meeting capacity, the approval route, and prices.

Halls are allocated by product rather than by country: knitted fabric in Hall 4, woven in Halls 5 and 6, printed fabric and artificial leather also in Hall 6, denim in Hall 7 under the Blue Black platform, and yarn, knitting, embroidery, lace and accessories in Hall 8. The innovation and technical-textile hubs sit in the foyer. That matters when you brief a designer — your competition is your immediate neighbour, not a company three halls away.
Light is the first decision on a fabric stand
A buyer who approves a shade on your stand and then finds it reads differently in their own showroom will not come back. We build fabric stands around three lighting rules:
- High colour rendering, neutral white. Warm or low-CRI lamps shift greys, navies and skin tones — the three things most likely to be rejected later. Neutral white at high CRI is the baseline for any stand where colour is the product.
- Light across the hanging face, not down onto it. Fabric hung on a rail and lit only from above goes dark below shoulder height, exactly where the buyer handles it. Vertical faces need their own light.
- One consistent light for the whole stand. Mixing a warm feature light over the meeting table with neutral light over the fabric gives you two different colours of the same cloth within two metres. Keep the fabric zone single-source.
If you work to a specific colour-assessment standard in your own mill, tell us at briefing stage and we will light the stand to it rather than to a general specification.
Hanging, handling and the table
- Fabric has to be touched. A hanging system a buyer can pull a length from, feel and let fall sells better than fabric fixed flat to a wall. Build the rail at a height where a standing adult can take hold of it without reaching.
- Depth beats width. A deep hanging bay shows drape; a shallow one shows only surface. If your range is about hand and fall, give it depth.
- A table is not decoration. Fabric is specified sitting down, with the swatch on the table under the same light as the hanging stock. Count the simultaneous appointments you expect and build that many places, not one more table than fits.
- Storage out of sight. Boxes of sample books, header cards and bagged lengths accumulate fast over three days. Under-table and under-counter storage keeps the stand looking like a showroom rather than a stockroom by day two.
- Somewhere to write. Orders and sample requests get written at the stand. A hard surface, a light on it and a place to put a bag matter more than another graphic panel.
One point specific to this fair: with over 40% of international buyers coming from Europe and nearly 30% from Asia, your stand signage and specification sheets need English, and in many cases a second language. We produce multilingual print as part of the build.
Approval and the venue’s limits
If you have booked raw space, Turkish fair organisers review the design before construction and require you to name your stand constructor. Deadlines differ by fair — at Automechanika Istanbul the published terms require drawings two months ahead and state that unapproved designs cannot be built in the fairground. Request Texhibition’s exhibitor service manual from the organiser as soon as your space is confirmed, and plan backwards from the date it gives.
Istanbul Expo Center’s own limits apply to every stand in the building: height is capped at 5.8 m in the halls, the floor carries 2,250 kg/m², and any stand 4 m or higher, or with two storeys, needs a structural check. Textile stands rarely trouble the floor-load figure, but a tall brand tower or a lit fascia crosses the 4 m threshold more often than people expect.
Flame-retardant certification is worth raising early. Hung fabric is the dominant material on this floor, and fire-performance requirements apply to stand textiles — which is a different question from your product’s own specification. We flag it at design stage rather than on the setup day.
Bringing fabric into Turkey
Display lengths and hanging stock you will take home again normally travel under an ATA carnet as temporary admission. Cut swatches, header cards, sample books and anything handed to a buyer are given away — they are not covered and need a full export declaration. Textiles can also carry category-specific documentation requirements. Confirm both with your freight forwarder in writing before shipping.

If the organiser requires a change after approval, we tell you what it costs before we make it.
Send your hall and stand number, size, number of open sides, the number of simultaneous appointments you expect and how much hanging face you need, and you get a 3D design and a fixed quotation.

Frequently asked questions
When is Texhibition İstanbul 2027?
The 11th edition runs 3–5 March 2027 at Istanbul Expo Center. The fair is held twice a year, in March and September; a September 2027 edition is listed by the venue for 1–3 September but had not been announced by the organiser at the time of writing, so confirm it before committing.
How big a stand do I need?
Work from two numbers: how much hanging face your range needs, and how many buyers you expect to seat at once. A larger stand with one table does less business than a smaller stand with three. Send us both figures and we will tell you the size that fits them.
Why does my fabric look different on the stand?
Almost always the lighting. Low colour-rendering lamps shift shades, warm light warms every neutral, and top-only lighting leaves the lower half of a hanging bay dark. We use high-CRI neutral white across the fabric zone and light vertical faces directly.
Is there a country pavilion I can join?
No. Texhibition places exhibitors by product category rather than by country, and foreign companies take individual stands. You book your own space and build your own stand.
Can I reuse the stand for the September edition?
Yes, and most repeat exhibitors do. Frames, hanging systems and structural elements carry over; printed surfaces and lacquered panels age and are usually remade. We store the stand between editions and tell you item by item what can be kept.
