Building material samples are heavy, and that single fact shapes a Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul stand more than any design decision. A pallet of porcelain tiles, a stack of natural stone slabs or a facade panel assembly concentrates weight on a small area, and the hall floor has a limit. Where your samples sit is settled before the stand is drawn, not after.
Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul 2027 runs 27–30 April 2027 at Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre. This page is written for exhibitors looking for a Turkeybuild Istanbul stand builder: sample weight and mockups, the approval process foreign exhibitors have to clear, customs, and prices.

With 431 exhibitors and over 43,000 visitors, this is a visitor-dense rather than exhibitor-dense fair — roughly a hundred visitors per exhibitor. The practical consequence is that your stand has to handle flow: a layout that funnels people into a single entrance creates a queue and loses the ones behind it.
Heavy samples: three decisions
- Floor load. Tell us the weight and base area of your heaviest display item. Where the point load exceeds what the hall allows, a spreader plate goes under it and the display sits near a structural axis rather than mid-span.
- Full size or section? A three-metre facade panel can usually be represented by a one-metre section built with the real joint detail. Visitors put their hand into the connection; you avoid the freight and the floor-load problem entirely. For stone and ceramics the same logic applies — a sample wall beats a pallet.
- Vertical or horizontal? Slabs displayed upright need a restraint and a tip-over calculation. Laid flat they are safe but consume floor area you are paying for.
The one thing worth the freight is a working mockup: a real, assembled corner of your facade, window or roofing system. Technical visitors at this fair are architects, contractors and applicators. They do not read the brochure at the stand — they look at how the system closes, how the gasket seats, how the fixing is reached for service. A mockup answers all three without a word.
Approval: the deadline that is not yours
If you have booked raw space, you cannot simply arrive and build. Turkish fair organisers review custom stand designs in advance and you must declare which company is constructing your stand. Deadlines differ by fair — at Automechanika Istanbul the terms require drawings two months ahead and state that designs without written approval cannot be constructed in the fairground. Check the Yapı exhibitor service manual for its own deadline, height cap and open-side rule, and plan backwards from that date rather than from the fair date.
We prepare the dimensioned drawings and technical file, submit them to the organiser, and follow the approval. Where the structure needs a static report or a liability insurance certificate, we flag it during design.
Bringing building materials into Turkey
Samples you take home again normally travel under an ATA carnet. Material that is consumed, installed into the mockup and left behind, or handed to visitors is not covered and needs a full export declaration. Building materials also sometimes carry product-specific documentation requirements — confirm your category with your freight forwarder before shipping.
In-hall transport and forklift services are ordered from the fair’s contracted provider, not from the stand builder. For heavy pallets, book those slots early in the setup period.
Prices
Stand construction in Turkey is quoted in the 400 – 750 EUR per m² band. Where you sit in it depends on the system, the finish and how much bespoke joinery the stand needs: a modular build sits at the lower end, a custom wooden stand with built-in furniture at the upper. Island stands add 10–20%; double-decker structures add 40–60%, including the structural report and the longer installation.

We quote a fixed price against an approved design, so the figure you receive is the figure you pay. If the organiser requires a change after approval, we tell you what it costs before we make it. Send your stand number, size, number of open sides and what you need to display, and you get a 3D design and a fixed quotation.
Timeline for April 2027
| Stage | When |
|---|---|
| Product list, sample weights, mockup decision | January 2027 |
| 3D design and floor-load plan | January–February 2027 |
| Submission to the organiser | Per the manual’s deadline — plan for late February |
| Manufacturing, mockup fabrication, print | March 2027 |
| Pre-assembly in our workshop | Mid-April 2027 |
| Installation | Within the organiser’s setup window |
We work to 10–12 weeks for a custom stand, and add time when a mockup is involved: an assembled facade or roofing corner is built and checked in our Esenyurt workshop before it ships, because a system that will not close on the stand is worse than no mockup at all.
Frequently asked questions
When is Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul 2027?
27–30 April 2027 at Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre, Istanbul. Recent editions report 431 exhibitors, 43,786 visitors including 4,816 international, and representation from 126 countries.
How much does a stand at Yapı – Turkeybuild cost?
It depends on the system and on whether you need a mockup or a reinforced platform. Send your stand size, number of open sides and the list and weights of what you are displaying, and you get a fixed quote with a 3D design.
Can I display natural stone slabs or tile pallets?
Yes, with the weight and base area confirmed in advance so we can check the hall’s point load and position the display near a structural axis. Upright slabs need a restraint. In many cases a sample wall shows the product better and removes the freight cost.
Is a mockup worth it?
For facade, window, door and roofing systems, usually yes. The visitors at this fair are architects, contractors and applicators who judge the joint detail and the service access, not the brochure. We build and test the mockup in the workshop before it ships.
Do I need approval to build my own stand?
Turkish fair organisers review custom designs before construction and require you to name your stand constructor. Deadlines, height caps and open-side rules are set in each fair’s exhibitor service manual. We read yours, prepare the file and submit it.
Creostand is an exhibition stand builder in Istanbul: we design, manufacture in our own workshop in Esenyurt — about 25 minutes from Tüyap — and install on site. For other fairs and dates, see our Istanbul exhibition calendar.
