The deadline that decides your Automechanika Istanbul stand is not our production schedule. It is the organiser’s: stand drawings must reach Messe Frankfurt Istanbul at least two months before the fair, and the terms are explicit that designs without written approval cannot be constructed in the fairground. For the 2027 edition that puts your design deadline in late January 2027.
Automechanika Istanbul 2027 runs 24–27 March 2027 at Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre. This page is written for exhibitors looking for an Automechanika Istanbul stand builder: it covers the construction rules in detail, the setup windows, what the organiser does and does not provide, and how to get your exhibits into Turkey.

| Dates | 24–27 March 2027 |
| Venue | Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre, Büyükçekmece, Istanbul |
| Organiser | Messe Frankfurt Istanbul |

| Earlybird space pricing ends | 18 December 2026 |
| Stand design deadline | Two months before the fair — late January 2027 |
Note the gap between the two deadlines. Many exhibitors book space before 18 December to get the earlybird rate, then start thinking about the stand in February — by which time the approval window has closed. Book the space, then start the design immediately.
The construction rules, in full
These come from the organiser’s own terms and conditions. They are the reason a custom stand in Turkey is a document exercise as much as a build.
- Written approval is mandatory. Drawings and specifications go to the organiser at least two months ahead. No written approval means no construction on site.
- Name your constructor. You must declare the stand construction company and its installation team to the organiser.
- Height. Shell scheme is 2.40 m. Custom designs are capped at 6 m, and the cap can differ by hall — check yours before the design is finalised.
- Open sides. Side walls on a custom design may cover no more than 40% of the open side. The hall has to stay visually open; a solid wall along your frontage will be refused.
- Double-decker. Prior approval required. Multi-storey construction in aluminium or wood is prohibited — the structure must be steel. The stand must be larger than 80 m², the upper floor may not exceed 60% of the base area, a static report must be available to the organiser, and both exhibitor and constructor must present third-party liability insurance on the first setup day.
- Noise. Sound at the stand may not exceed 60 dBA at any time.
- Hazardous goods. Flammable or explosive items need the organiser’s prior permission.
- Responsibility. Compliance with the terms, the exhibitor service manual and Turkish Building Regulations is the exhibitor’s responsibility — not the organiser’s. Non-compliant structures can be altered or removed at your cost.
We prepare the dimensioned drawings and the technical file, submit them, and follow the approval through. Where a static report or insurance certificate is needed, we say so at the design stage rather than on the first setup day.
Raw space or booth package?
| Booth package | Raw space | |
|---|---|---|
| What you get | Shell scheme up to 24 m², one or two open sides | Bare floor, priced by number of open sides |
| Design approval | Not needed | Required |
| Named constructor | Not needed | Required |
| Brand presence | Limited — identical to neighbours | Full control |
| Suitable when | First visit, small budget, catalogue-led | You are showing product, meeting buyers, building a brand |
The booth package is sold with a surcharge on top of the space. If you take it, you do not need us. If you take raw space, you are legally required to appoint a constructor — and the organiser does not publish a list of approved builders, which is why most first-time exhibitors in Turkey lose weeks finding one.
Automotive aftermarket stands: what actually matters
- Part density. Filters, brake components, bearings and electricals mean hundreds of SKUs. Shelf metres, not floor area, decide how much you can show. Label strips on shelf edges beat turning each box over.
- Weight on shelves. Brake discs and castings are heavier than they look. Heavy parts go to lower shelves on reinforced brackets; light packaging goes up.
- Cross-section displays. A cut-open filter or a sectioned pump sells the build quality that a catalogue photo cannot.
- Private label corner. Much of the business at this fair is OEM and private label. Those conversations need a table away from the aisle, with packaging samples and a price file.
- Stock for four days. Catalogues and samples run out. A lockable cupboard inside the stand keeps the boxes out of sight.
Getting your products into Turkey
Two separate regimes, and mixing them up is the commonest border problem:
- Display items you will take home normally travel under an ATA carnet as temporary admission.
- Catalogues, giveaways, consumables and anything you leave behind are not covered by the carnet and need a proper export declaration.
Confirm your product category with your freight forwarder before shipping. The organiser names a logistics partner for in-hall handling; forklift and in-hall transport are ordered from the fair, not from us.
Prices
Stand construction in Turkey is quoted in the 400 – 750 EUR per m² band. Where you sit in it depends on the system, the finish and how much bespoke joinery the stand needs: a modular build sits at the lower end, a custom wooden stand with built-in furniture at the upper. Island stands add 10–20%; double-decker structures add 40–60%, including the structural report and the longer installation.
| Included in our price | Paid to the organiser |
|---|---|
| Design and 3D visuals, revised until approved | Floor space rental |
| Technical file and submission for approval | Electricity and water connections |
| Manufacturing in our own workshop | In-hall forklift, lifting and empty-case storage |
| Pre-assembly before shipping | Compulsory service and catalogue fees |
| Transport, installation and dismantling | Stand approval fee, where one is charged |
| A technician on call during the fair | — |
We quote a fixed price against an approved design, so the figure you receive is the figure you pay. If the organiser requires a change after approval, we tell you what it costs before we make it. Send your stand number, size, number of open sides and what you need to display, and you get a 3D design and a fixed quotation.
Your timeline for 2027
| By when | What |
|---|---|
| 18 December 2026 | Book space at earlybird pricing |
| Early January 2027 | Brief, hall plan, product list, 3D design started |
| Late January 2027 | Drawings submitted to the organiser |
| February 2027 | Approval received; manufacturing starts |
| Mid-March 2027 | Pre-assembly in our workshop |
| 21–23 March 2027 | Installation, inside the organiser’s window |
Our workshop is in Esenyurt, about 25 minutes from Tüyap. We build the stand once in the workshop before it ships, so dimensional errors show up there rather than during a setup window that closes at 22:00 on 23 March.
Frequently asked questions
When is Automechanika Istanbul 2027?
24–27 March 2027 at Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre, Istanbul. Setup runs from 21 March 11:00 to 23 March 22:00; dismantling from 27 March 17:30 to 28 March 12:00.
When do I have to submit my stand design?
At least two months before the fair — late January 2027. The organiser’s terms state that designs without written approval cannot be built in the fairground. Send us your brief in early January and the submission is comfortable.
Can I build a double-decker stand?
Yes, with prior approval, but the structure must be steel — aluminium and wood multi-storey builds are prohibited. Your stand must exceed 80 m², the upper floor may not exceed 60% of the base area, and third-party liability insurance must be presented on the first setup day.
How much does a stand at Automechanika Istanbul cost?
It depends on the system and whether you need an island or double-decker layout. Send your stand number, size, number of open sides and what you are displaying, and you get a fixed quote with a 3D design.
Does the organiser recommend stand builders?
No list of approved builders is published. You are free to appoint any constructor, and you must declare that company and its installation team to the organiser.
Creostand is an exhibition stand builder in Istanbul: we design, manufacture in our own workshop in Esenyurt — about 25 minutes from Tüyap — and install on site. For other fairs and dates, see our Istanbul exhibition calendar.
